CRICKET JOBS: Academy Physiotherapist - Notts CCC (UK)

An opportunity has arisen to work as the Academy Physiotherapist at Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club. As part of the Sports Science and Medicine team you will work alongside two existing full-time Physiotherapists, two Strength & Conditioning Coaches and a Chief Medical Officer.
Key responsibilities will include acting as the primary Physiotherapist and medical lead for all NCCC’s Academy competitive games, both home and away. You will provide effective treatment to the players from pre-match through to post-match.
In addition you will work closely with the Second XI Strength & Conditioning Coach in warm-ups and activation sessions prior to matches.
You will have a BSc in Physiotherapy with a proven track record of working with Sports Trauma Management or similar. An MSc in Sports Physiotherapy, or experience of working within a sporting environment and with young athletes will be a definite advantage.
Registration and current membership with the Health and Care Professions Council and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is essential, as is a First Aid qualification.
The role entails mainly weekend work (Saturdays). The Academy plays its home matches at the Nottinghamshire Sports Club at Lady Bay but you will also be required to undertake occasional travel to away matches within Nottinghamshire.

JOB TITLE ACADEMY PHYSIOTHERAPIST (Reporting to the Club Physiotherapist)
1. RELEVANT GENERAL OBJECTIVES
- Provide world-class physiotherapy/sports medicine services for the County’s Academy players.
- Protect and enhance the Trent Bridge brand.
- Commit to an open, challenging culture where outstanding performance is the norm.
2. SPECIFIC ROLE PROFILE
- Act as primary Physiotherapist and medical lead for all NCCC’s Academy competitive games, both home and away.
- Provide effective treatment to Academy players from pre-match right through to post-match.
- Work closely with the Second XI Strength & Conditioning Coach in warm-ups and activation sessions.
- Communicate with other members of the Sports Science & Medicine team at the Club to allow progressive care of all Academy players.
- Any other duties as requested by the Club Physiotherapist in keeping with the post.
