We are looking for an Editorial Assistant to join Sky Sports’ Cricket team. In this role, you will work in a team dedicated to producing TV coverage of Cricket, supporting the TV producers. Your main duties will include research, archiving, and the basics of the shooting and editing process. This role is an excellent opportunity for anyone who wants to build a career in sports television production, and learn the “nuts and bolts” of the skills involved.
To be considered, we’d like you to have an outstanding current and historical knowledge of Cricket, and have a genuine passion for the game. Experience of television production and a qualification in media/journalism is preferred as is a working knowledge of desk top editing. Just as important is the dedication and desire to learn the skills of TV production, and the self-confidence to effectively use them in a fast-moving live environment. The role will be pressured at times so you’ll need to be hard working, self-motivated and be able to solve problems using your own initiative. You will also be required to work unsociable hours.
