CRICKET JOBS: Chairman - Bucks CB (UK)

Bucks Cricket Board (BCB) is seeking a highly motivated and competent individual to take on the exciting and challenging role of Board Chairman.
BCB is the governing body for all junior and club cricket in the County. Constituted as a company limited by guarantee, BCB is led by a knowledgeable and highly motivated team of Directors whose mission is to make cricket the sport of choice in Bucks and through cricket to make a significant contribution to the health and well-being of our communities.
The incoming Chairman will have well developed management, communication and leadership skills. A background in finance and/or marketing would also be a significant advantage. It would also be desirable to have previous management experience in the sports, leisure or voluntary sector.
The Chairman’s Principal Responsibilities are to:
- Chair Directors’ Board meetings
- Chair ad hoc finance and budget-setting meetings
- Oversee the continuing development of BCB Strategy
- Ensure BCB maintains a high standard of governance and sound financial management
- Ensure BCB complies with current company and employment legislation
- Maintain good working relationships with our external partners including, ECB, Bucks & MK Sports Partnership, Local Authorities and Bucks CCC.
- To recruit, develop and maintain a professional and volunteer workforce which meets the needs of Bucks Cricket Continually seek opportunities for everybody to participate in Bucks cricket and achieve their full potential
- Promote the good image of BCB and seek opportunities for commercial and private sponsorship
