CRICKET JOBS: Clubs and School Coach - Live Active Leisure (UK)

£9.86 - £10.97 per hour
Funding for 9 months of the year
Live Active Leisure is a Company limited by guarantee with charitable status. The Company currently owns and/or operates leisure and community facilities and provides development, health, fitness and wider leisure services throughout the Perth & Kinross area.
We are looking for a motivational and inspiring coach to join the Cricket Development Team. You will deliver new and innovative cricket playing concepts to adult players and be key in maintaining interest in cricket at clubs and developing skills and attitudes of young cricketers on the player pathway.
This role would ideally suit a club professional as hours can be worked around playing commitments.
Responsibilities:-
- Work closely with the Cricket Development Officer to ensure the effective operation of the Club and Player Pathway cricket coaching programmes
- Carry out administrative duties and session planning to ensure the efficient operation of the cricket coaching programmes
- Contribute to developing new programme content at clubs
- Plan, organise an deliver cricket coaching sessions to children, young people and adults in local clubs, increasing the number of players participating in the game of cricket more regularly
- To develop club/school links and promote the cricket clubs throughout the local community
- Plan, organise and lead progressive winter coaching sessions for Perth & Kinross Area Performance Development Squads as part of the national performance pathway
- To be responsible for an age group squad during the summer playing session
- Monitor the progress of coaching programmes and new playing concepts
- Work with and support club coaches and deliver coach education sessions
- Any other duties as appropriate
Requirements:-
- Part time 12 hours per week (evenings & weekends)
- UKCC Level 2 Certificate in Coaching & Coaching Young People and Adults are essential. UKCC Level 3 Performance Coach is an advantage
- Valid driving licence is essential
- Have excellent communications skills and strong people skills

Cricket Coach - Schools

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic coach to join the Cricket Development Team. You will deliver high quality cricket coaching sessions within the primary and secondary school environment. The role is key to generating interest in cricket and creating links between schools and clubs and working towards increasing the numbers of players for the long terms benefit of the sport.
Responsibilities:-
- Work closely with the Cricket Development Officer to ensure the effective delivery of the school cricket coaching programmes
- Carry out administrative duties and session planning to ensure the efficient operation and reporting of the school cricket coaching programmes
- Contribute to developing the school cricket programme content
- Plan, organise and deliver cricket coaching sessions to children and young adults in primary and secondary schools, increasing the number of school pupils exposed to the game of cricket
- To deliver competitive primary and secondary school playing opportunities throughout the year
- Give Primary school teachers resources to deliver additional cricket activity
- Run primary school festivals programme and secondary school fixtures
- To develop club/school links and promote the cricket clubs throughout the local community Lead holiday coaching programmes at local clubs and Live Active venues
- Any other duties as appropriate
Requirements:-
- Part time 24 hours per week
- ICC Introduction to Cricket is essential. UKCC Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Cricket is an advantage
- Valid driving licence is essential
- Have excellent communications skills and strong people skills
