The Nottingham High School is an independent day school (HMC), founded in 1513, which relocated to the Arboretum in 1867 and become co-educational from 2015.
A Junior School was established in 1905, moved into new accommodation in 1978 and admitted infants in September 2008. The High School foundation includes the Infant and Junior School (ages 4 – 11) with over 250 pupils. The Senior School selects for entry at age 11+ and 16+.
There are roughly 800 pupils in the Senior School including a vibrant Sixth Form of over 200. The High School has a strong reputation for outstanding academic results and for its pastoral care. The School’s vision is to be the strongest in the region in all aspects of its provision. The School runs a wide and varied programme of co-curricular activities.
The High School is a school of national reputation, the Headmaster having membership of HMC, the Infant and Junior Head membership of IAPS. Staff from cluster groups of local independent schools and national large day schools meet annually.
The Nottingham High School are now looking to recruit a cricket coach to work alongside the Director of Cricket and team amangers to deliver pre-season and in-season coaching programs from January to July.
RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE:
Indoor coaching sessions with various age group squads and targeted school cricket academy groups, on Tuesday-Thursdays after school throughout the spring term.
Summer duties will include daily coaching during curriculum Games sessions our Valley Road Playing Fields site.
The coach will also lead a community action project, delivering coaching sessions and providing support within a group of the local city primary schools, and will take a school cricket team for the ten Saturday fixtures across the summer term.
This is an opportunity to have major impact on the development of cricket within all areas of the school and local community.
This post might be of particular interest to a coach who is able to work with the following fixed (non-negotiable) part-time hours, whilst also remaining flexible for other duties as required on a week-by-week basis:
PERSON SPECIFICATION - ESSENTIAL
- UKCC2 (ECB Level 2 Cricket Coach) minimum
- Experience of group coaching within school/club cricket
- A good cricket playing background of 1st XI club (or higher)
DESIRABLE
- UKCC3 (ECB Level 3 Cricket Coach)
- Experience of coaching elite players
- Extensive experience of working within a school environment

I am working with under 16, under 19, under 23 and senior clubs members.
I did my level 1 training course from PCB in 2011 and start working withing Sui Northern Gas pipeline limited cricket team which is playing GRADE 1.
