Lothian Junior Development Group are looking for U14 Area Squad Coaches for 2015. Details of the positions are below:

Post Title: Area Cricket U14 Coach

Service: Lothian Junior Cricket Development Group

Location: Various sites across Edinburgh/Lothians/Forth Valley/Borders 

Reports to: Lothian Junior Development Group

Immediate Supervisor: LJCDG Chairman

Basic Hours:

• 3 match days during summer
• 2 x Selection trials
• 4 x squad training session
• Basic Remuneration:
• £30 Match day fee
• £15 per hour for training sessions

Purpose of the Job

• To lead the coaching programme for either the Pentlands or North Edinburgh/East Lothian U14 Squad for the 2015 season.

Major Tasks

• Deliver quality training sessions for the squad on dates provided throughout the summer
• Attend all team matches as coach on the match days provided
• Have input into the selection of Pentlands / North Edinburgh squads for 2015 season
• Attend East Winter Programme sessions where possible and assist the lead coaches
• Liaise with Eastern Academy manager, LJCDG representative and necessary performance staff regarding player development and performances
• Furnish a season report for the LJCDG and ESCA by September 2015
• Have a player-centred approach that puts the development of the players at the heart of all training and matches
• Actively promote the pathway to players and parents involved in the programme

Relevant Qualifications 

• Minimum Cricket Coach Award (UKCC2) or equivalent 
• Must have current PVG Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland

Skills/Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years cricket coaching experience
