CRICKET JOBS: Community Cricket Coach - Gloucester CB (UK)

CB Community Cricket Coach (between 4 & 5 days a week which will be confirmed upon appointment). Minimum contract of 18 months Full time hours are 37 per week – Full time Salary: £16,000 plus expenses
The Gloucestershire Cricket Board (GCB) wishes to appoint two Community Cricket Coaches to support the implementation of its 2012-2015 Strategic Plan ‘Raising Our Game’. These posts are supported by the Cricket Foundation’s Chance to Shine programme and funded through Sport England. The role will have a focus on developing opportunities within secondary schools to play and compete.
The GCB seeks to employ two highly motivated and competent Community Cricket Coaches to support and work within the Cricket Development team. The role’s main focus will be to increase participation whilst creating a network of ‘cricket playing’ schools that see cricket as part of their day to day activity. Close links to local clubs and a competition offer that provides opportunities for all will be essential
You will need to be passionate about and committed to cricket coaching at a local level and for this role, it would be an advantage if you have experience of cricket/sports development at grassroots level coupled with a sound knowledge, appreciation and understanding of the game.
Candidates must demonstrate both team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised using their own initiative. You will be a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm together with good administration and organisational skills. Equally you will be an excellent communicator with a passion for the development of cricket/sport for young people.
