CRICKET JOBS: Conference and Events Administrator - Derbyshire CCC (UK)

Derbyshire County Cricket Club is seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Conference and Events Administrator who will be responsible for supporting the Conference and Events team with the planning, delivery and evaluation of all our Derbyshire Experience events that we host at The 3aaa County Ground.
The role is broad and very rewarding and you will be involved in every aspect of The Derbyshire Experience from a customers’ initial enquiry through to the post-event review with the customer.
Key Objectives
Reporting to the Relationship Manager – Conference and Events, your key objectives will be:
- Taking in-coming event enquiries and selling conference and events over the phone
- Hosting customer visits
- Converting customer enquiries into bookings to develop future and repeat business
- Processing conference and events bookings
- Liaising with customers and other departments about event requirements
- Chasing up details of each event to ensure everything is planned and implemented correctly
- Support the Relationship Manager to prepare event plans and event documentation
- Distribute publicity materials such as press releases, posters, banners to customer and prospect database
- Attend events to assist with the set-up, delivery and wrap up
- Supervision of defined aspects of an event to ensure excellent customer service
- Follow-up customers for post-event feedback and and undertake customer satisfaction surveys, analyse data and produce evaluation reports
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a candidate who is:
- Able to develop positive working relationships at all levels and create a positive image
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
- Strong influencing skills and previous administration skills
- Understanding of the conference and events business
- Strong customer services experience
The competencies required include:
- Good at problem solving
- Understanding of diary management
- Experience of managing small projects or events to deadlines
- Passion for making customers smile
- Smart professional appearance.
