Learning Provider Description Darlington College 'Business Development' offers a wide range of apprenticeships. The Apprenticeship Programme allows you both the opportunity to experience work and earn a wage, whilst obtaining valuable qualifications relevant to your chosen career. This is achieved by attending College for one day a week for off the job training and gaining practical work experience during the remaining four days. During the programme, all Apprentices follow a framework which consists of a Technical Certificate, a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) and a variety of Key Skills.

The Apprenticeship Programme runs at two levels: Apprenticeships at level 2 and Advanced Apprenticeships at level 3. A Technical Certificate is the qualification that the individual completes away from the workplace. This qualification provides general underpinning knowledge of the industry which can be tailored quite specifically to the job. As an apprentice you will also produce a portfolio of supporting evidence which is verified by an external verifier at the end of the course.
