The Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) is the governing body of cricket in the state of Western Australia and oversees the development of the sport throughout WA with the aim to make cricket Australia’s favourite sport.
The WACA’s vision is to be leaders in Australian cricket across all areas of the business, including the work conducted by the Association in the WA community, its status within the WA business and sporting community, national team representation, participation, engagement, membership and fan experiences. The WACA is also home to WA’s elite teams, the Alcohol.Think Again Warriors, the Alcohol.Think Again Western Fury and the Perth Scorchers (BBL/WBBL).
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Corporate Communications Manager now exists to manage the WACA’s corporate communications portfolio. This is a hands on role where you will work with like minded communication professionals who are energetic and passionate to create and implement communication strategies aimed at promoting the WACA as a business and highlighting its work within the WA community.
This newly created role, reporting through to the Communications Manager, will be responsible for a broad communications portfolio ranging from WACA Members, WACA Board, WACA Staff Members and the WA Government. This dynamic role will ensure that internal communications are executed effectively and support aligned corporate, business and staff engagement objectives.
To be successful in this role you will have proven ability to implement internal communications and change management programs across a diverse stakeholder groups, proven ability to work with senior leaders to establish successful internal communications programs, high level communication management skills and a thorough understanding of all aspects of communications, how it works and how to positively influence outcomes.
It is desired for you to have a degree in marketing, communications or a related field and also have at least five years experience as a communications specialist, is essential.
