The Role:
Based in Coffs Harbour, this full time role will report to the Development Leader – Northern NSW and act as the key figure for cricket in the region.
The Game Development (GD) Department is responsible for growing cricket participation and inspiring the next generation of players and fans. The successful candidate will be required to engage a diverse group of stakeholders to raise the profile of the game.
Role Responsibilities:
- Building and supporting the network of cricket supporters in the region
- Supporting volunteers to provide quality club environments
- Winning the battle of the schoolyard by introducing children to cricket
- Ensure cricket is a sport for all Australians
- Supporting the promotion of the Sydney Sixers
Experience & Qualifications Required:
- Understanding and experience in community participation in sport, including volunteer management
- Understanding of Cricket Australia and Cricket NSW programs and pathways, including MILO in2CRICKET and MILO T20 Blast
- An understanding of sporting organisation operations and structures
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to motivate, positively influence and build strong stakeholder relationships
- Outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Exceptional administrative skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritise work commitments and deadlines, whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Advanced computer skills – MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint applications.
