CRICKET JOBS: Events and Fundraising Executive - PCA (UK)

Professional Cricketers’ Association, the representative body for professional cricketers in England and Wales, is seeking a candidate for the position of Events and Fundraising Executive. The role will focus on the delivery of high quality PCA Events and fundraising for the PCA Benevolent Fund, the PCA’s registered charity (1120088).
Duties will include:
- Working with the Head of Events and relevant departments within the PCA to ensure excellent event delivery and commercial partner satisfaction.
- Leading or assisting in the operations and delivery of all PCA Events.
- Creating and keeping the guest lists up to date, monitoring guest numbers, sending out all event tickets and maintaining all relevant guest information.
- Ensuring timely and professional delivery of all tickets and hospitality benefits including match day tickets.
- Assisting in production of all event and fundraising literature, including liaising with sponsors/donors on content and sourcing the correct logos to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Leading or assisting the Head of Events in delivering PCA bespoke events (Private dinners, golf days, motivational Q&A’s, etc).
- Developing excellent relationships with all venues and event suppliers in order to leverage maximum value to the PCA and PCA Benevolent Fund.
- Managing the Events section of the PCA website, ensuring all relevant event information and sales flyers are uploaded promptly, all information is accurate and case studies of all events are promoted with maximum impact.
- Being responsible for data capture at events and liaise with the Commercial Partnerships Manager to ensure information is transferred onto the PCA database.
- Working with the PCA Social Media Executive to ensure that they have all the relevant information to maximise event/sponsor exposure.
- Administering the fundraising activities and processes for the PCA Benevolent Fund, the PCA’s registered charity, to include auctions, silent auction and raffles.
- Logging and allocating all auction and raffle items.
- Pre-event support – Producing quality auction literature including relevant terms and conditions, sourcing the correct logos, and liaising with donors to ensure accurate documentation.
- Overseeing the on-site management of the fundraising activities - to include, briefing the auctioneer and hostesses, managing the fundraising during the event (auction/ raffle) and safely storing fundraising materials.
- Running silent auctions at third party events where required.
- Managing the fundraising duties of the Finance & Fundraising Assistant and oversee the post event process – including following up with successful auction bids, thanking donors, delivering items and processing payments.
- Working with Team England Partnership Executive to manage memorabilia log and storage.
- Working with the Head of Events to evaluate auction revenues in order to develop a range of memorabilia that maximises fundraising for the PCA Benevolent Fund.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Experience of event management essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent database and administration skills (knowledge of Microsoft word and excel)
- Must work well within a team
- Must possess good customer service ethics and have a ‘can do’ attitude to their work
- Experience of charity fundraising preferable
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good time management
Note - Some evening and occasional weekend work may be required to achieve core objectives.
