Purpose of the Role
One of the key objectives of the ECB’s Strategy is to develop and maintain great England Teams.
The Executive Assistant, England Cricket will report to Andrew Strauss and Clare Connor, Directors of England Cricket. The Executive Assistant, England Cricket will provide administrative, logistical and operational support across key projects within the England Cricket department.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
1. Administrative/operations support for Directors, England Cricket
The Directors, England Cricket may require administrative support at times, including the handling of personal and confidential matters. Such support may include the following:
- To arrange meetings and co-ordinate diaries for Directors, England Cricket and England Cricket Senior Management Team
- To co-ordinate travel requirements for Directors, England Cricket including air, road, rail transport, hotels and visas
- To coordinate annual budget process and monitor monthly spending with MD’s England Cricket and England cricket senior management team
- To undertake any other administrative duties which may arise from time to time as required by the England Cricket department.
2. Administrative support for specific projects within England Cricket
New areas of work are currently underway within England Cricket (for example the England Identity Project and the development of the new Women’s Cricket Super League) and this role will take on some of the administrative responsibilities for these projects as required. Such responsibilities may include coordinating diaries for meetings, taking minutes at meetings etc.
3. Administrative/logistical support in relation to family provision for the England Men's team
ECB coordinates arrangements for player/management families for official ECB family visit periods as well as providing service support for non–official visits. This includes (but is not limited to): international flight requirements, internal flights and other domestic transport, accommodation arrangements as well as hospitality at grounds and childcare requirements. ECB also arranges Xmas Day and other Team event/functions as appropriate. During the home season, ECB is responsible for family accommodation requirements at Test matches as well as liaising with PCA on the smooth running of match hospitality and childcare requirements. Working closely with the Manager International Teams Administration, the Executive Assistant, England Cricket will:
- Be the initial point of contact for players and families on all family provision matters
- Host families/partners in the hospitality box on the weekend of all home Test matches
- Produce a handbook so players/families have a clear understanding of what ECB provides
- Travel with families/partners for official family visit periods and coordinate on-site arrangements
