The Durham County Cricket Foundation is the official charity and community arm of Durham County Cricket Club. We are seeking to appoint a Foundation Development Officer to source funding and develop engaging programmes for the Foundation & Durham Cricket Board.
You will be an experienced fundraiser and have worked within a charity or community based organisation.
Your role will be to develop and manage the delivery of programmes for the Foundation and source funding for this. You will develop sustainable partnerships with key stakeholders and identify & execute fundraising opportunities for the Foundation. You will develop innovative and creative programmes for the Foundation which will attract significant resource to grow the work of the Foundation.
The Foundation Development Officer will work closely with the Durham Cricket Board to identify funding opportunities for joint projects and will support with marketing and communications work.
You will be experienced in fundraising within a sports development/charity context, have a ‘can-do’ attitude and you will be able to hit the ground running and deliver quickly. You will be a self starter, creative and enthusiastic, and be motivated to engage and inspire communities through cricket. It would be ideal if you have some events management experience, in addition to project management skills and experience of managing budgets.
