Key Responsibilities:
Game & Market Development
- Coordinate and deliver programs to support the key strategic development areas including:
- MILO in2CRICKET and MILO T20 Blast
- MILO T20 Blast School Cups and any other school cricket in conjunction with School Sport NT
- Regional Community Carnivals
- Community Engagement (i.e. All-Abilities, Multicultural, Indigenous and female cricket)
- Ensure accurate records are kept of all Game and Market Development activity through use of ‘TheCROWD’
- Liaise with the committees of affiliate associations and clubs aiming to assist with cricket development
- Assist with the promotion of cricket and competitions throughout the Top End region of the NT, particularly those not currently affiliated with NT Cricket.
- Assist the NTCUA and Scorers representative in the promotion and recruitment of umpires/scorers and the conduct of Accreditation Courses
General duties
- Monitor and work within applicable budgets
- Attend relevant Cricket Australia (CA) meetings when required
- Preparation of relevant reports as requested
- Maintain contact and exchange ideas with staff from Cricket Australia and state/territory counterparts as required
- Work effectively with the NT’s sports network including the Department for Sport, Recreation and Racing regional officers, Indigenous Sports Officers and community leaders
Other
- Assist with the delivery of the Imparja Cup and any other NT Cricket major events including international and domestic matches, ICC events and other relevant events
- Assist, as directed by the Game and Market Development Manager, in NT Cricket’s involvement in the ICC’s East Asia Pacific Development Program
- Any/all other duties as required by the Game and Market Development Manager and Chief Executive Officer
Key Performance Indicators:
- Achieve participation targets within key programs, i.e. MILO in2CRICKET Skills, MILO T20 Blast School Cups, MILO in2CRICKET programs, MILO T20 Blast programs, female cricket, Indigenous cricket
- Full compliance with Cricket Australia’s reporting tool, TheCROWD
- Providing clubs/committees with quality and timely advice and direction on cricket matters in line with NT Cricket policies and procedures.

Essential
- Drivers Licence
- HSC/VCE equivalent
- Working with children check
Desirable
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification
- Level 1 Coaching Accreditation
- First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment & Training

- Excellent oral and written presentation skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Current Driver’s license
- Current Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain one
- Computer Skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Understanding of and experience in community sport
- Ability to engage with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Proven administration skills
Desirable
- Familiarity with MyCricket and ‘TheCROWD’
- Relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous
- Cricket coaching/development/playing experience would be advantageous
The Game Development Officer – Top End will work within a team of Game Development staff and reports directly to the Game and Market Development Manager.
This position is suitable for recent graduates and entry level candidates.
