CRICKET JOBS: General Manager, Game and Market Development - WACA (Aus)

Australian Cricket has increased its emphasis on promoting and developing the game amongst children, both genders, families and within Australia’s indigenous community. The Western Australian Cricket Association is currently looking to appoint a General Manager – Game & Market Development who will work closely with Cricket Australia to develop strategies to increase participation and to execute these strategies state wide. This exciting opportunity will be located at the WACA Ground.
Reporting to the CEO of the Western Australian Cricket Association, the General Manager - Game & Market Development will lead a large team of dedicated professionals located throughout Western Australia who work at a grassroots level to promote and develop the game. The focus will be on growing the next generation of Western Australian players, fans and volunteers.
The General Manager – Game & Market Development will provide leadership direction to the Game Development team to ensure successful delivery of the organisation’s strategy. In addition, as a member of the Western Australian Cricket Association’s leadership team, the General Manager – Game & Market Development will be required to contribute to delivering the WACA’s Leadership Charter and be a role model for the WACA’s values.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Highly developed management and organisation skills
- An ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, supported by superior oral and written communication
- Experience and an aptitude for project management and budget control
- A working knowledge of Diversity principles
- Proven Experience in sport participation
