The GM Domestic Cricket is the key relationship manager for NZC on issues that affect Major Associations (MAs) and is responsible for leading domestic cricket, ensuring its overall health, including financial health and sustainability, and ensuring that the competitions deliver on their high performance imperatives, notably producing quality environments, competitions and players.

The role has responsibility for the overall sponsorship, marketing, advertising and promotion of men’s domestic cricket - specifically the domestic Twenty20, One Day and Four Day competitions - so that revenues and net returns are maximised by NZC and all 6 MAs. This will involve working with key business units in setting the direction for the Domestic Competitions in line with wider NZC strategies around event delivery, brand positioning, digital, event delivery and High Performance, among others. Critical to the role’s success is its ability to work with dependent business units (such as Marketing & Communications) to ensure services are delivered in line with strategy.

The role is also responsible for overseeing the event management component of each match across each domestic competition, This involves ensuring the appropriate delivery model for each match and ensuring the NZC Events team and other delivery partners (MAs etc) have the necessary service level and operating standards to effectively deliver the matches.

You’ll need proven experience and success in a similar role at a senior level which includes account management and the servicing of key sponsors; managing campaign delivery with advertising agencies; strong commercial acumen including contract negotiation and senior sports administration experience.
