The Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) is the governing body for cricket in the state of Western Australia (WA). The WACA is home to WA’s elite teams, the Alcohol.Think Again Warriors and the Alcohol.Think Again Western Fury and the Perth Scorchers. It oversees the development of the game of cricket throughout WA and works in conjunction with Cricket Australia to make cricket Australia’s favourite sport. The WACA’s vision is to be Leaders in Australian Cricket in all areas including national team representation, elite team success, participation, engagement and fan experience.
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced candidate to manage the hospitality and function offerings of the WACA.
In this varied role, you will be managing in-season events from conception through to delivery as well as developing a calendar of off-season events. You will also be managing the delivery of the hospitality program of Perth Scorchers, our VIP Room on match days and other stakeholder functions.
Working closely with our Membership Department, you will deliver match day events such as Shield lunches, and Langer’s Loft and other events including AGMs and Member’s Forums.
Building relationships with key stakeholders will be paramount as this role involves monitoring the delivery of the Hospitality Service Level Agreement with Cricket Australia for International fixtures at the WACA.
To be successful in this position, you will have at least three years experience in a similar hospitality or function role. You will have proven management experience of direct reports, have a strong results orientation and highly development computer knowledge and skills.
