CRICKET JOBS: Head of Business Support - ECB (UK)

The successful applicant will play a leading role in ensuring that First Class Counties receive quality central support to help their business operations effectively deliver their priorities. He/she will also work closely with the COO to develop engagement strategies that allows central initiatives to be implemented efficiently at local level through partnership working.

- This role will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for the Business Support Manager.

Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities – job specific
- Gain in-depth knowledge of each FCC’s business in order to develop appropriate support and escalate significant issues.
- Play a key role in the development of ECB’s County investment methodology and funding policy.
- Provide input into ECB programme development to ensure local implementation is viable.
- Facilitate engagement with FCCs to ensure implementation success.
- Provide FCCs with an operational point of contact and direct enquiries and requests internally as required.
- Facilitate information sharing between FCCs and source examples of best practice for FCCs.
- Support FCCs to develop new and existing local partnerships.
- Closely align with the Participation & Growth team to drive increased cross-partner based activity and greater integration between FCCs and County Boards.
Person Specification
- At least 2 years experience in the business of professional cricket
- Knowledge of First Class Counties operations and ECB departments
- Leadership capability or potential
- Strategically minded
- The ability to communicate with and influence people at various levels
Additional information
- The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate exceptional commitment, including the working of long days particularly during the summer months. This will include on occasions, extended periods of time away from home.
