CRICKET JOBS: Head of Commercial - Glamorgan CCC (UK)

The Head of Commercial will be responsible for the commercial operations of Glamorgan CCC including the strategic direction of marketing, ticketing, sponsorship, merchandising, sales revenues and new business opportunities.

The vision of Glamorgan County Cricket Club is to "Make Wales Proud" and our mission is to "develop the national summer sport of Wales from the playground to the SWALEC Stadium."
The Head of Commercial will be responsible for the commercial operations of Glamorgan CCC including the strategic direction of marketing, ticketing, sponsorship, merchandising, sales revenues and new business opportunities.
The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering a commercial strategy which optimises revenues for Glamorgan CCC and manages the services related to those revenue streams.
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Executive and will work closely with the Sponsorship, Hospitality and Events Manager, Conference and Banqueting Manager, Ticketing Manager, and Marketing and Communications Manager in optimising revenues and satisfying our customers.
Applicants should have:
- Proven experience and success in a high profile, demanding, and fast-paced commercial environment at senior management level
- Proven success at building excellent working relationships and operating effectively as a member of a senior management team or Board
- Strong leadership qualities, with experience of successfully leading and managing diverse teams
- Evidence of excellent commercial judgement and decision making capabilities
- Experience and understanding of sports market particularly in managing partnerships
- Strong financial literacy including managing a P&L, and the ability to develop a practical system of results to monitor progress against operating plans and objectives
- The successful candidate will need to be a highly credible, clear thinking and articulate individual with:
- High standards of personal and professional integrity
- Huge levels of energy and enthusiasm
- Openness and resilience
- Honesty, tact and a strong will to succeed
- An appetite to constantly seek improvement in all aspects of the work
