JOBS: Insight and Innovation Officer - Cricket Wales

Accountable for:
Supporting and project managing a collaborative shorter Knowledge Transfer Partnership (sKTP) project between Cricket Wales Limited and Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Role Summary:
Cricket Wales Limited is the National Governing body for cricket in Wales and together with its constituent members it delivers and supports the game for a wide range of customers.
In-line with the England & Wales Cricket Board’s insight and innovation agenda, Cricket Wales is providing an exciting opportunity in relation to an initial three year project that aims to diversify & increase revenue streams through improvements to existing products and services, and the development of new commercial opportunities.
To achieve these goals during the first year of this project, the KTP Associate will be responsible for exploiting user centred design knowledge in combination with specialist sporting knowledge to improve the quality of interaction between Cricket Wales and its customers.
During the sKTP and in collaboration with Cardiff Metropolitan University’s School of Sport and PDR, Cricket Wales plans to initiate changes to its capabilities and the way services are delivered by capturing customer experiences through a new ‘Service Design Process’

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- To take overall responsibility for the delivery of the KTP project objectives.
- To review the Company’s current service design process, evaluate current data, gain an understanding of competitor environment, create a project engagement plan for insight activities & set up a new stakeholder group
- To research existing technologies available for capturing customer ‘insights’
- To design a user centred insight capture methodology
- To validate the methodology, set up Cricket Wales user centre innovation, create a user guide, train staff & identify pilot projects
- To embed the process within Cricket Wales
- To review process effectiveness & impact
- To complete the compulsory sKTP Associate online training modules;
- To provide a progress report for presentation at the three Local Management Committee (LMC) meetings;
- To manage the Associate Support budget associated with the sKTP Project;
- Convene and lead monthly technical meetings to discuss progress, targets and resources;
- Adhere to all confidentiality, IPR, IIP, health and safety procedures etc., established within the Company and Cardiff Metropolitan University;
- Complete a final report quantifying the benefits that have been achieved prior to the agreed end of the sKTP programme;
- Any other duties that may be reasonably assigned by the Knowledge Base Supervisor/ Industrial Supervisor.
