CRICKET JOBS: Interprovincial Senior Coaches - Cricket Ireland (IRE)
Closing date: 27th January 2016
Cricket Ireland is currently seeking coaches for each of the three Inter-Provincial senior men’s teams.
Cricket Ireland is seeking a consultant Head Coach for each of the three Inter-Provincial senior men’s teams, with suitable experience in coaching players and teams. The Coach must have a minimum ECB Level 2 coaching award (or equivalent from a full member country), preferably Level 3 or they must aspire to engage on the Level 3 programme in the very near future. The coach will be responsible for delivering coaching sessions, programmes and match day coaching operations, amounting to a total of 32 days per annum.
Ideally based in the Union’s locality for ease of travel and good face-to-face communication, the role will report directly into the Team Administration Officer for the Provincial Union (PU), and a PU appointed officer. The Head Coach will work closely with the players’ coaches at national age-group and senior level.
Having completed a 3-year programme of the new Hanley Energy Inter-Provincial series, Cricket Ireland is now looking to enhance the structure and competition, and gain First Class status to the 3-day championship, of which there is now an application process for ICC Associate Members. This position offers a genuine opportunity for the successful candidate to help develop players and the Provincial Union senior men’s team, as well as their own coaching ability.
