CRICKET JOBS: Massage Therapist / Logistics Assistant - NZ Cricket

Cricket is New Zealand’s staple summer sport with more than 100,000 people currently playing the game, making it one of the most widely played sports in the country.
New Zealand Cricket is responsible for the administration of the game in New Zealand, with delivery of grassroots, club, school and representative programmes managed through six regional Major Associations. New Zealand Cricket also administers the New Zealand men’s international team, The BLACKCAPS and the women’s international team, The White Ferns, as well as the New Zealand A, New Zealand Under-19 teams and emerging players.
We have a vacancy for a Massage Therapist/Logistics Assistant working with the BLACKCAPS team, reporting to the BLACKCAPS Team Manager. This is a 5 month fixed term contract.
The successful applicant will:
- Work closely with the BLACKCAPS Physiotherapist on tour to provide massage therapy for the team
- Assists the BLACKCAPS Team Manager with logistical issues for the team whilst on tour
- Be available for the following tours:
NZ XI v Scotland, v Ireland, then BLACKCAPS v South Africa (all home series) 13 - 27 October 2014
BLACKCAPS to UAE v Pakistan 30 October - 20 December 2014
BLACKCAPS v Sri Lanka (home series), v Pakistan (home series) 22 December 2014 - 3 February 2015
ICC Cricket World Cup 7 February to 30 March 2015 (or the day after the BLACKCAPS last participation in the event; home series)
The ideal applicant will have:
- A massage therapy qualification
- Previous experience of providing massage services to a sports team and elite athletes
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the strong time management skills
- Well organised, with good administration skills
- Current passport and the ability to travel
