A brand new opportunity has arisen to work as an a Non-Match Day Sales Executive at Sussex County Cricket Club. This is an exciting time to join the Club as we continue to expand our non- match day side of the business.
The purpose of this new role is to proactively generate non-match day sales and therefore the successful candidate must be a self- motivated and proactive person with a proven track record in a sales environment. Additionally, the successful candidate must demonstrate both excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Title: Non-Match Day Sales Executive
Reports To: Business Development Executive
Hours: Full- time, Monday to Friday 9-5pm and match days (some weekend and evening work required)
Location: Sussex County Cricket Club, Hove
Remuneration: Basic salary plus commission
Role Purpose
Job Description
To increase non-match day revenue through proactive sales
Main duties:
- To research, record and contact potential clients creating warm leads for both the Commercial and Catering and Hospitality departments
- Follow up to feedback provided to Sussex County Cricket Club from surveys, identifying repeat business and referrals
- Conduct research and identify trends across various market sectors
- Contact match day customers to cross sell to non- match day events
- Record and manage sales activities using our in-house CRM system
- Strengthen the relationship with ‘Visit Brighton’ to drive ‘town event’ dinner bookings
- Use of printed and electronic journals to identify and follow up sales opportunities

1. Professional Experience
Proven success in a proactive sales environment Previous experience of cold calling Telephone sales experience
2. Skills & Knowledge
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional and articulate telephone manner Consultative sales approach
Competent IT skills to include experience of:
- Working with databases
- Producing professional, clear written reports in Microsoft Word
- Producing and analysing data in Microsoft Excel
- Email applications such as Microsoft Outlook
- Producing high level presentation material in Microsoft Powerpoint
