The Lancashire Cricket Board wishes to appoint a Non-Executive Director with knowledge of Sponsorship and Fundraising. This is a voluntary position.

The LCB was established in 1996 as one of 39 County Boards responsible for the management and development of the recreational game within the County. The Board is as a 'Company Limited by Guarantee' and is managed by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors, who are volunteers, have wide ranging experience in cricket and business. Three Committees operate below the Board - Development, Development of Excellence and Recreational. The professional staff, who are led by a Managing Director, are split between four departments - Clubs and Leagues, Performance, Education and Business Operations.

The Mission Statement of the Board is 'To be the best in the business of developing cricket'.

The existing Board wishes to expand to meet the current and future challenges of the sporting landscape by recruiting a Non-Executive Director to guide the Board with securing sponsorship and generating new sources of income. The current Board of Directors is made up of:

We are looking for a person with energy, enthusiasm and most importantly, relevant experience in sponsorship, fundraising and income generation to join the current Board.

The Board meets 7 times a year at Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground and there will be a requirement to support the development of the business through input at relevant LCB Committees and / or working groups as required.

Reasonable out of pocket expenses are claimable.
