CRICKET JOBS: Office Assistant - MCC (UK)

Marylebone Cricket Club (the Club) is based at Lord’s Ground, the Home of Cricket, a stunning venue steeped in history and charm, with extraordinary architecture and a fascinating collection of cricketing art and memorabilia, including the iconic Ashes Urn.
An opportunity has arisen within the Club Facilities Department for an Office Assistant to carry out general office duties and to provide cover for the Club Receptionist and Postal Clerk.
Duties include ordering stationery for all M.C.C. staff, handling telephone queries, photocopying and filing. In addition, a minimum of two hours per day will be spent providing cover at the main M.C.C. Reception desk as well as until close of play on non-major match days and covering any leave, as required. You will also provide cover for the post clerk which includes franking external post and delivering internal post around the Ground.
Required skills and experience
You will be required to lift and carry heavy stationery deliveries and post items as required. You should be well presented, with a professional telephone manner and excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. In addition, good IT skills, including MS Office are a must.
A flexible approach to working hours is also essential, particularly during the cricket season as you will be required to work extended hours on all match days, including weekends and public holidays. Knowledge of the game of cricket is a distinct advantage.
