Cricket PNG is currently looking for a skilled, passionate and committed Operations Manager on a full-time, two year contract. Reporting to the General Manager, the position is a critical senior position in an organization that continues to grow and is gaining success on the international stage.

Cricket PNG is one of the leading Associate Members of the ICC, just missing out on qualification for the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup. It has a thriving grassroots program, a domestic competition structure that goes from strength to strength and national teams at men’s, women’s and U19 level that are participating in regular international series.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the management and development of the ‘National Home of Cricket’ at Amini Park, Port Moresby including overseeing the office administration staff, groundstaff and security personnel. They will also plan and deliver the major national competitions, home international series and organize the tour logistics for national teams competing in overseas events.

The successful applicant will have a relevant tertiary level qualification, strong experience in event and/or facility management and an ability to work with different cultures and adapt to challenging environments. The role will work closely with the High Performance and Game Development departments, requiring a team player who is prepared to put in the extra effort.

The role is based in PNG’s capital Port Moresby. The package includes a vehicle, 25 days annual leave as well as safe, secure accommodation and a contribution towards two flights home each year if overseas-based.
