The ECB is seeking applications from experienced Performance Analysts. Reporting directly to the National Lead for Performance Analysis, the post holder will be part of the ECB Performance Analysis Team based at the National Cricket Performance Centre, Loughborough to provide the necessary information to achieve competitive advantage in Women’s International cricket, and will also work closely with the England Women’s Support staff and Coaches. 

The post holder will have responsibility for undertaking live coding of all England Women’s senior team matches, the pre-Series/Tournament preparation, interpreting statistical data collected during live coding, training and through other data sources to inform strategy, selection and player development as well as answering specific questions related to the strategic or performance aims of England Women’s Cricket. 

The England Women’s Performance Analyst will be expected to spend a good deal of time away from home travelling with the England Women’s Team both at home and abroad. In addition to working within the team environment, the EWPA should be prepared to work independently and have irregular hours. 

You will need experience in the provision of Performance Analysis and experience of working within a multidisciplinary support team. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and a good knowledge of cricket. A good undergraduate honours degree in a field related to Performance Analysis is also essential.

Role Summary

The EWPA will report to the National Lead for Performance Analysis and will provide the England Women’s Team with the necessary information to achieve competitive advantage in world cricket.

Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

  • To undertake live coding of all Women’s senior team matches using the best available and most appropriate Performance Analysis system (currently ‘Feedback Cricket’) 
  • Provide world’s best cricket intelligence and analytical support to the England Women’s senior team in line with the values of Team England (Pre match, In Game, Post match) to maximise performance 
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive databases encapsulating all multi-disciplinary areas of cricket performance 
  • Define game influencing KPI’s for women’s cricket to maximise performance 
  • Research & Innovate - perform longitudinal studies on the women’s game worldwide to provide practically applicable insights into game changing events 
  • Build an evolving database of player & team intelligence on all opposition from a tactical, technical, physical, psychological, lifestyle & statistical perspective 
  • Provide analytical support during winter training camps to enhance talent/skill development 
  • To work closely with other members of the Science & Medicine Team within the Women’s Programme on specific multi-disciplinary projects 
  • To provide intelligence to inform objective selection through statistics of form & history 
  • To influence the scouting process to include appropriate utilisation of performance analysis 
  • To implement performance and development driven, best-practice analytical support across the England Women’s pathway 
  • To manage the Player Review document and analyse trends including strengths and weaknesses of the England Women’s development program to inform training 
  • Work closely with coaching staff to influence world leading review meetings to maximise performance during tours 
  • To live the values of Team England to nurture a high performing environment 
  • To develop, in partnership with players and coaches, specific game plans against opposition players and teams to help England win major global events 
  • To develop robust post series reports to influence Player Development Plans 
  • To work closely with the National Lead for Performance Analysis and the Performance Analysis Team based at the National Cricket Performance Centre, Loughborough on all matters pertaining to the role to ensure best practice

 

Person Specification 

Essential: 

  • Experience of providing performance analysis and knowledge management services to high performance sports teams 
  • Experience of working with and contributing to a Multidisciplinary Support Team. 
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of contemporary ICT hard/software related to performance analysis and knowledge management 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (inc. presentation, education and training skills) 
  • Ability to present complex data and information with impact (verbally, visually and in written form) 
  • Organisational skills and a strong work ethic 
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office, databases and performance analysis software
  • Full driving licence 
  • A good knowledge of cricket 
  • Personal qualities essential – energy, enthusiasm, initiative, flexibility and adaptability 
  • A good undergraduate honours degree in a field related to Performance Analysis is essential

hope you will be fine and doing well . i am asadullah khan working with Afghanistan national team from last 3 years .as Asst and Performance Analyst.I played for afghanistan and 5 years coaching experience .and work very close with many coaches .in the many biggest events like T20 world cup and ICC world cup 2015 in AUS and NZ.
