CRICKET JOBS: Sports Science and Performance Analyst, NCPC - ECB (UK)

The aim of this role is ensure England Cricket Performance Programme is supported with cricket specific applied science and analysis knowledge.
The role is split into two main aspects. Firstly, the post holder will be responsible for the collection, analysis and feedback of video and biomechanical data of technical cricket training, across all disciplines and England men’s and women’s programmes along with the co-ordination and analysis of applied research projects as part of the multi-disciplinary team supporting optimal physical and mental preparation. Secondly, the role will support the preparation and feedback of England teams as part of the performance analysis team.
Nature and Scope:
Reporting directly to the National Lead for Performance Analysis, the post holder will be part of the ECB Performance Analysis unit based at the National Cricket Performance Centre, Loughborough, providing the data, knowledge and intelligence to optimally prepare and develop England players, working closely with the England Performance Programme Coaches and Science and Medicine practitioners.

Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Collection, analysis and feedback of technical training, using video, biomechanical and other technologies, in order to enhance player skill development and coaching practice
- Co-ordination and analysis of cricket specific applied research projects using bespoke technologies, such as motion sensors, GPS and biofeedback systems, as directed by the National Lead for Performance Analysis
- Create user friendly feedback reports and systems, to enable players, coaches and practitioners to benefit from data analysis and augmented feedback
- Support England Series & Match Preparation as required as part of the England Analysis team
- Answer specific performance questions related to the strategic or performance aims of England Cricket Squads and Teams
- Undertake research to inform tactics and to support England winning games of cricket and/or undertake live coding with England Teams as allocated by the National Lead using the best available and most appropriate Performance Analysis system (currently ‘Feedback Cricket’). This could involve extensive travel both within England & Wales and internationally
- Deliver Performance Analysis Best Practice, utilising the technologies and resources available at the National Cricket Performance Centre to support the England Pathways
- To undertake any additional Tasks as/when requested by the National Lead
