CRICKET JOBS: Womens Team and Operations Manager - Cricket Australia (Aus)

Cricket Australia (CA) is one of the nation’s premier sporting bodies, and provides an exciting, dynamic environment within the sports and entertainment industry. CA is responsible for overseeing and developing cricket on a national level, ultimately with a responsibility for the national cricket team.
As the Women’s Team and Operations Manager, you will oversee the day to day running and operations of the Australian Women’s cricket program. You will work closely with the Australian Women’s Team Coach, support staff and players and the in house CA Team Performance Department to ensure the development, implementation and management of tour operations are seamless and promote the achievement of team goals.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing team operations, including logistics, tour schedules and team administration, for Australian Women’s Teams, including the Southern Stars and Shooting Stars;
- Perform Team Manager duties for all Southern Stars and Shooting Stars tours and camps;
- Managing other key national female program operational requirements, including player contracts, player payments and appearances;
- Providing leadership and support to players and staff thus ensuring their needs are met;
- Fostering and maintaining a culture of excellence and professionalism;
- Dealing with internal and external stakeholders and building solid and long-lasting relationships; and
- Overseeing all administrative duties.
An expert negotiator and influencer, you are a natural leader with a flair for problem solving. You will spend a high volume of your time travelling with the team so it is essential that you have the ability to effectively manage relationships.
To be successful in your application, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience in leading a team in a High Performance environment;
- Ideally a background in cricket or elite sport, but more importantly an understanding of and passion for the game;
- Highly organised with the ability to multi-task to achieve tight deadlines;
- Quick thinking and able to excel in a fluid and ever-changing environment;
- Strong IT skills and experience in database applications, Excel and Word;
- High level of integrity and able to deal with confidential information; and
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You should have broad experience in international travel and preferably have experience working and living within other cultures. This is a pivotal role to the success of the Australian Women’s cricket team and as such you will need to be available and on call at all times.
