The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 is cricket’s flagship event, which will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand in February and March 2015.
To ensure the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 sets a world class benchmark in sporting event delivery across the two nations, we are building a Local Organising Committee (LOC) of leading professionals in Melbourne (Australia) and Wellington (New Zealand) to shape the event throughout the full lifecycle.
This is a unique opportunity for you to join the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 team in Melbourne, as the Team Services Coordinator for Australia. Within this role you will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all Teams and Match Officials movements are planned and delivered in line with ICC specifications and LOC requirements. This will include accommodation, flights, ground transport, baggage, catering and other support services.
This is a pivotal role within our Cricket Operations Team, assisting in the planning phases through to operational delivery during tournament time. This role will build strong relationships with the Travel Management Company and Team Liaison Officers to ensure all services required are delivered to the world class standards expected.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone from a sporting or major events organisation with experience in multi-venue tournaments/events. This role requires strong attention to detail, and exceptional stakeholder management ability. Strong communication skills are an absolute must role as you will be dealing with a variety of stakeholders in a time critical high pressure environment, where it’s imperative you are displaying a high level of professionalism at all times. Ideally you have an understanding of professional sport, cricket in particular, so you understand of the intricacies of team movements both domestically and internationally.
This is a great chance to join us in our South Melbourne Office on a fixed term contract until March/April 2015, and play an important part in delivering sporting history across Australia and New Zealand!
