PitchVision and CSA Partnership Taken to the Next Level
In an unprecedented move by Cricket South Africa (CSA), PitchVision cricket coaching systems have been rolled out across South Africa. The plan is part of a state-of-the-art coaching and talent identification scheme.
20 regional cricket associations have received PV/ONE: the portable version of PitchVision. The complete system includes a laptop, sensors and cameras for video analysis. With PV/ONE in place, local cricket coaches can identify and track talented players with video analysis, bowling speeds and accuracy, and a cloud-based player management system.
The scheme is part of CSAs coach education and coaching solutions partnership with PitchVision. This partnership includes increased coach education, the world's most advanced training centre in Pretoria, an online player management portal and PitchVision ball tracking available to all talented players in South Africa.
PV/ONE is a sensor and camera system that turns any cricket net into a smart net. With simple to use technology, coaches can enhance their time with players by getting instant personalised feedback. Video analysis is combined with ball data such as line, length, pace and deviation. All the information is stored in individual accounts for players and coaches to review via the web or the PitchVision app for iOS and Android phones.
