Do you want to be part of the Harrowdrive Select XI?

Let's have a bit of fun today. I'm looking to build the perfect XI from harrowdrive readers. Are you up to scratch? Email me with your story of why you deserve to be in the team.

You can be of any standard or age and play cricket anywhere in the world. Players who make the team get the right to claim they have been selected to play for the Harrowdrive Select XI.

I doubt the team will ever get the chance to actually play together, but that's beside the point. The idea is to get selected.

There may even be shirts issued but the kudos is worth far more.

While cricket skill is important, extra consideration will be given to great stories and great socialisers.

For those who don't make the first XI I'll also have a 2nd XI. But who wants to be in that right?

So, drop me an email or leave a comment. I want to know all about you including whether you bat, bowl, keep wicket or any combination of the three. Let's see how good a team we can raise.

ive been part of Rochdale Catholic Club Cricket Club 1stXI for 13 years (since i was 12)during which time we have won 6 NMCL Titles, 2 NMCL Cups, 7 NMCL Cup Runners up and 2 Lancashire Shields, i personally have only really come into my own over the last 2 seasons since the birth of my son, with 7 Centuries in two seasons including 164* off 31 overs recently, finishing the last 2 seasons with averages of 37.00 and 39.90 respectively, but most importantly i love to get DRUNK!! lol and im good friends with your current number 6 Kieran Lloyd (whos rubbish), so ill have your number 4 spot plz Eye-wink lol Cheers!!
