Free cricket coaching: Volunteers needed for case studies
*Update: Applications are now closed.*
Do you want some free coaching and advice? This year I want to get more in depth and detailed with the advice I give you. I figure the best way to do this is to pick some readers as examples of what can be achieved.
After all, harrowdrive is in its 3rd year and it's time togive you some real life examples. I'm putting my money where my mouth is.
So I want some volunteers.
The deal is this: If accepted into the case study scheme I'll give you (and your team if you want) free personalised coaching on cricket skills, fitness, nutrition and mental skills. If your whole team volunteers I'll also help with team building.
I say personalised because everyone has different fitness levels, skill, time constraints and availability of equipment. Don't worry what your circumstances are, we can adapt.
In return I'll need you to:
- Be prepared to be part of the study for a minimum of 3 months.
- Follow the advice I give as well as you can.
- Regularly record your training, eating and thinking in a form I provide to you.
I can only accept people aged 18 or over. You should be a regular club cricketer (of any standard). Ideally I want players based in the UK but that is not essential.

David,
Even as a coach, I think this would be a great idea and working with you could benefit both of us. I would like to put Devizes 1st XI forward for the psychological side and maybe the nutirtion/diet, etc. In the past several years Devizes has gone down the leagues and with good players at the club, I think this is a mental aspect, as we have the ability. As Senior coach and 1st XI Capt in 2008, please consider us for some mental training. I believe we aren't to far away down the M4 either.
