Measuring ball speed

Hi, we would like to know how to measure ball speed accurately. We halve bought " Stalker sport 2 " radar gun for our club & we need help on how to position the radar gun (exact height and angle). We mounted it on a tripod at 5ft height and 4 ft behind the bowling stumps. But we are getting speeds very low, for a fast bowler maximum speed is around 110kmph and for a spin bowler it's around 65kmph, in international cricket even " pause and delivery" balls are measured around 95kmph.Also when we place the gun at 45 degree to line of ball and the same angle is fed to the gun the speeds are reasonable like 90kmph for spin bowler and 135kmph for a fast bowler. Is this correct way of measuring? We found before "hawk eye" "stalker sport" radar gun were used in international cricket if so where exactly the gun was positioned at the stadium and at what angle & height?

Hi Karthick. I'm currently new to the Stalker sport 2 myself, so won't be able to answer you unfortunately. However, I see this was posted a few months ago. Have you found any pattern yet? For what it's worth, I'm also getting speeds of 110-111 kph with the gun beside me as I bowl, and I'm one of the sharper bowlers at my club. I agree that, speaking for my club, 110 sounds low.

Just wondering if you've played around with the angles and what your bowlers have now got up to? If you're still in the same boat as me, sorry I couldn't be of more help...

I should also add that occasionally (I think it's when I go to recall) I get figures around 127-128 kph. Have any experience with this?
