PitchVision Becomes Umpire in the Nets
Cricket coaching product PitchVision is taking the guesswork out of LBW in the nets. Using sensor mats that accurately track the flight of the ball in any cricket net, the system can be used to judge LBW appeals.
In the past the 'electronic umpire' has been reserved for international cricket on TV due to the great cost. Now the umpire can stand in any club or school net thanks to the simplicity and affordability of PitchVision.
PitchVision's portable sensor mats can be quickly put into any cricket net. When the ball hits the sensor, data is sent wirelessly to a laptop or mobile phone. The software then works out if ball was going on to hit the stumps after striking the pad. Just like you see on the TV.
The mats can also be used for a range of other coaching data: Bowling speed, bowling accuracy, batting power, batting precision and 100 other statistics available instantly after a ball is delivered. It's the first time technology seen at the highest level has been affordable and accessible to all cricketers. The system is available worldwide.
