Quick cricket tip: Make fitness training fun
Top coach Duncan Fletcher is a big advocate of making fitness training both cricket specific and fun.
Combine fielding drills with fitness training.
For example: 'Ten Catches' where the coach hits high and difficult catches until ten are caught. It's designed to leave you gasping but you will be fitter after a few sessions and it's much more engaging that going on a jog.
So next time you don't feel like doing your fitness training, grab some cricket balls, cones, stumps and a couple of mates and head to the ground (or sports hall) instead.

When is this acadmy thing opening
We're doing the grand opening a little later this month - stay tuned: more announcements comming very soon!
Grand Opening? this is either going to be really good or really bad
It's ok, i was just navigating around the site in a weird way, i seem to be able to access everything.
What's the academy that's opening?
Also, here's a quick introduction.
I'm a qualified ECB level 2 coach who now resides in Australia and have had to transfer my qualification to the ACB level 2.
I'm currently a Director of cricket at my local club, mainly in charge of coaching structures, selection, youth policies and progression etc.
I'm going to enjoy reading and posting comments on this site!
Regards
Mike
