Hello,
May I ask a quick question. The 3 knee drill, what is the point of lifting the block leg before it lands to plant. You and Ian say its to engage the hip flexors, but I don't see why you would want to, your not running off that foot, your planting it. I also see some of the fastest have a knee lift, like Thompspn, Lee, and Marshall, but there are others who dont, like Akthar and Cath Dalton.
Thanks for your time.
If you lift your knees like the three knee drill suggests, you will gain momentum through the crease, which will increase pace.
In my opinion, the best way to increase pace is to practice bowling the ball at maximum force.
Over time your body and muscles will adapt and get faster.
A good foundation of diet and exercise will benefit like anything.
