You take all the advice you can get, consider it and work at your game.
You prepare for every situation. As you should.
You go to the field knowing that both the mechanical and mental aspects of your game is in the right place.
The ball is coming out right, and you are calm and focused.
And then what happens?
You get carted all over the field.
But the ball is still coming out right, and you are pitching it in the right areas.
You even did your homework and focused your bowling on the weaknesses of the batsmen.
You are bowling well. It really should be working.
What is going on?
You are just having a bad day at the office, and it is not even your fault.
It's OK. It happens. It will happen again.
Cricket is like that. Despite all your best efforts sometimes a batsman just comes off.
Do not let this get to you.
If you do, it will make you crazy.
It could drive you crazy because you do not even know what you should be working on.
The best way to deal with this is to make peace it on the field, just after you finished your spell.
Do not let it play in your head for days where you can over-analyze it.
Deal with the emotions on the field and put it behind you.
This is just part of the game and the frustration of being a spin bowler. Sometimes, it is just not your fault or anything you did.
It just happens.
Learn to control your emotions during these time, but also make sure you are never making excuses. The really good players learn the difference.
