I’m talking about the chronic build up of aches and pains of a career. The ones where you get up in the morning and think:

“Man, I hurt so bad, surely no game is worth this much pain”.

Purpose: Develop the ability to accelerate, decelerate and change direction while ground fielding a ball.

Description: 4 cones are set out in a square. The fielder has to run in a figure of eight touching each cone and fielding/returning the balls fed by the coach in the order show in the diagrams.

Description: Player 1 sprints forwards as fast as possible to intercept the ball rolled by the coach/keeper. Player 2 sets off at a sprint after player 1 runs past.

5 Reasons Why Strong is Better

Unfortunately, a lot of players turn away from the idea of strength because they assume to be strong you need to look like a bulky bodybuilder. It’s a reasonable assumption, especially when you see that most gyms base training around bodybuilding methods made popular in the 1970s and ‘80s.
